My Mission

Art that feels like a deep breath… A return to joy, memory, and warmth.
My mission is to create art that offers a sense of peace, warmth, and joy. Art that gently pulls you away from the noise of everyday life and into a moment of calm. Through color, texture, and storytelling, I aim to remind people of their happiest memories, or simply give them a beautiful place to rest their thoughts. Whether it’s a painting, a hand-crafted object, or a piece you live with every day, my work is meant to bring comfort, spark joy, and create small moments of escape and wonder.

Mixed Media Paintings

Adorn your house with a beautiful and timeless piece of art. Now you’re able to take with you any of my 18 x 24 pieces!

About Me

Alana's Creative Studio
Welcome! I’m Alana Palomo, a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist and designer with roots in El Salvador and a heart shaped by movement, memory, and meaning. My practice lives at the intersection of fine art and design, spanning painting, illustration, collage, digital media, and everyday objects reimagined as art. Whether I’m creating expressive oil paintings, hand-detailed coasters with gold leaf, or custom tote bags layered in symbolic texture, I approach each piece as an opportunity for reflection, joy, and emotional connection. I believe that beauty can hold space for both serenity and struggle, that art can be bold, soft, messy, sacred, and healing, all at once. I studied Visual Arts and Graphic Design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earning my BFA with multiple scholarships and accolades. My work has been shown in over a dozen exhibitions, including the Chicago Fine Arts Salon, Monarca, Art City, and international spaces like El Salvador International Airport. I’ve also studied painting and art business in Florence, Italy, and currently work as a graphic designer at Kehoe Designs and as a visual arts teacher at Art City. This shop is a space where I share not only fine art, but usable art, tote bags, keepsake boxes, coasters, and personalized commissions that carry my signature textures, brushstrokes, and stories. I also offer custom graphic design services, including logo creation and brand identity systems for clients looking to bring their vision to life through intentional, meaningful design. Thank you for supporting independent artists and handmade work. I hope what you find here brings you a little wonder, a little warmth and a reminder that even in the storm, there is always beauty.
